Codar has announced a strategic partnership with the Interswitch Developer Community, marking a significant step toward expanding practical learning and career opportunities for emerging tech talent in Nigeria.
The partnership was activated through the Interswitch Buildathon 2026, a national hackathon that brought together developers from across the country to build innovative solutions using Interswitch’s payment APIs and developer infrastructure.
Through the collaboration, Codar students participated in the four-day competition, gaining hands-on experience in product development, technical collaboration, and real-world problem solving.
The partnership has already delivered strong results. Students from Codar finished among the Top 11 teams in the Buildathon, with three teams progressing into the Interswitch Developer Community Mentorship Program, where they will receive ongoing mentorship, technical support, and access to industry opportunities.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment between Codar and Interswitch to bridge the gap between learning and industry by creating direct pathways for young developers to gain experience, exposure, and professional growth.
For Codar , the partnership reinforces its mission to equip the next generation of African tech talent with practical, industry-relevant skills through hands-on learning and strategic ecosystem collaboration.
Both organizations say the partnership opens the door for deeper engagement between training institutions and industry, with continued opportunities for innovation, mentorship, and talent development expected ahead.
